So many books, so little time...
Reblogged from Bookish Quotes:

Thank goodness for books during long graduation ceremonies!

The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald Reread this book last night and loved every minutes of it! Can't wait to see the movie on Friday!

And the Mountains Echoed

And the Mountains Echoed - Khaled Hosseini Must read ASAP!

Divergent (Divergent Series #1)

Divergent - Veronica Roth I love dystopian fiction and loved this book!!

Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore

Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore - Loved this quirky book full of books, technology, code breaking, and typography! A fun read.

Gone Girl: A Novel

Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn Loved it at first. Lots of twists and turns. Then it just fizzled out for me. I like her writing style and I like how the book was told from alternating viewpoints. I didn't really like either of the main characters that much. I know most people loved this book and i admit that it was a page turner and creepy. I definitely stayed up way too late reading this book so maybe I liked it more than I thought.

Echo Park

Echo Park - Michael Connelly I am addicted to this series starring the tough, smart Harry Bosch as a police detective. Love a good mystery/thriller and these books never disappoint.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society: A Novel

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society - Mary Ann Shaffer Wonderful book!! A must-read!

Last Coyote

The Last Coyote - Michael Connelly I love a good detective story and this was a great one!

The Freedom of Self Forgetfulness

The Freedom of Self Forgetfulness - Timothy Keller A lot packed into a small package. Still thinking about his one.

Calico Joe

Calico Joe - Wonderful story!! I wasn't even going to read this until I read an excerpt of the book in Sports Illustrated and got hooked. Whether you like baseball or not, you'll like this book!

The Summer We Fell Apart

The Summer We Fell Apart - Robin Antalek I didn't think I was going to like this book, but I ended up finishing it anyway. I'm still thinking about the book, so that makes me wonder if I'm not rating it high enough. This is the story of four siblings and each section of the book is told from a different siblings' viewpoint. I liked reading the story from different perspectives. A little slow at the beginning, but picks up as the book goes on. It seemed like a couple of the story lines weren't wrapped up, but that might just be me. ;)

In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin

In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin - Erik Larson I only finished about half this book and then it disappeared from my kindle back to the library. It was an interesting read, but I found myself confused by the number of different people in the book. I couldn't quite keep track of all of them. Will I finish the book? I'm not sure...I would like to see what happens to the ambassador and his family, so hopefully I'll get the chance to finish it one of these days. Even though it is non-fiction, it reads more like a novel, which I like.

Defending Jacob

Defending Jacob - Couldn't put this book down. Thriller from beginning to end. I am still in shock!

The Innocent (Vanessa Michael Munroe Series #2)

The Innocent - Taylor Stevens Tough chick who wields knives, guns, and smarts! A page-turning thriller. Read the first novel so you have more background on the characters.

Freak the Mighty

Freak the Mighty - Recommend by my 13-year-old son. I liked the book, but kept thinking it reminded me of another story. Another reviewer of this book hit the nail on the head. It is like Of Mice and Men. My son is somewhat a reluctant reader so I was thrilled that he actually wanted me to read a book he liked. It is the story of two unlikely friends and their adventures. Get out the kleenex!
